The IMP³rove Symposium Report

The first international IMP³rove Symposium held in Duesseldorf gathered more than 30 representatives from different academic institutions from all across Europe and Australia. This innovation helped faculty members and researchers to gain a better understanding how to adopt IMP³rove services within their activities. The results of the IMP³rove Symposium are provided in the IMP³rove Symposium report.

Further discussions with interested parties are already taking place for future collaborations between the IMP³rove - European Innovation Management Academy and academic institutions. The IMP³rove Symposium report might trigger new lines of thoughts and ideas for collaboration with the IMP³rove - European Innovation Management Academy. Those who were not able to participate in the IMP³rove Symposium and are interested in more detailed information are invited to contact the IMP³rove Core Team at improvecoreteam@atkearney.com

First International IMP³rove Symposium

At the first International IMP³rove Symposium the importance of Innovation Management for academic research and education as well as partnering opportunities with the future IMP³rove Academy were discussed. After the opening by Dr. Peter Noyes, Vice Chancellor at the University of Wales, Newport, UK, more than 30 representatives from business schools, universities and universities for applied science from Latvia to Portugal, from UK to Italy and even from Australia shared their experience in Innovation Management research and education. They clearly expressed the need for more research and especially for more education in the area of Innovation Management. This meets the increasing demand of innovation managers and at the same time will improve the employability of young people in countries such as Portugal or Spain where the crisis has caused a high unemployment rate of university graduates. Practical examples on the integration of IMP³rove services from Germany, Switzerland and Australia stimulated the discussion on the further up-take at other academic institutions. Detailed results will be published in the IMP³rove Symposium report shortly.
