On 20th, 21st and 22nd September 2009, Heraklion Chamber of Commerce and Industry will have the high honor to host the Europe INNOVA 2009 Partnering Event, another illustration of its involvement in strengthening the innovative capacities of the Crete Region.
We are proud to be organizing this major international event that will attract more than 200 professionals and innovation experts from all over Europe.
Entrepreneurs, investors, researchers and representatives of other administrations will meet in Heraklion to share experiences, debate models of innovation and, ultimately, to help in the creation of more competitive and sustainable regions in the globalised society of the 21st century.
Heraklion Chamber of Commerce and Industry, as a representative of the entrepreneurship community of Heraklion and a member of Enterprise Europe Network, aims to bring to the conference its experience from its active participation in the development of successful innovation structures, such as the Regional Innovation Pole of Crete, together with an entrepreneurial approach about innovation and its optimal exploitation methods for the sake of the local society. We wish to share our knowledge and experience from successful collaboration among members of the triple helix in Crete in drafting programmes for the development of innovative products, cooperating to achieve sustainable development in a future of limited resources and generally in development endeavours that combine Crete's potential to generate knowledge with our extensive entrepreneurial capacity.
At the same time, we are convinced that the Europe INNOVA Partering Event will bring us recognition throughout Europe and will open up opportunities for transregional cooperation. We hope that through its impact in the media, this event will communicate the innovative and entrepreneurial spirit that European society should seek to include in its research activity and in the establishment of new companies.
